About the Event
Ce projet représente à la fois une expérience commune à partir de laquelle partager des contes et récits entre nous, et l'occasion inestimable de croiser des démarches artistiques et artisanales interculturelles. Apprenez les techniques pour orner une paire de pantoufles tricotées tout en découvrant les diverses significations culturelles de chaque technique.
Notre invitée spéciale, Marg Boyle, artiste métisse L'nu et interprète culturelle, se joindra à Ann.

For this workshop, Native Immigrant's La pantoufle du quartier partners with the Montreal West Library to present the "Embroidered and Beaded Daisy Wheel" slipper, designed by Ann Braybon-Smith. Joining Ann, is our special guest Marg Boyle, Métis L'nu artist and knowledge keeper. This project represents both a common experience from which to share tales and stories with each other, and an invaluable opportunity to cross-cultural artistic and craft approaches. Learn techniques to adorn a pair of knitted slippers while learning about the diverse cultural meanings of each technique.
