About the Event

Through the glass realm and the rivers of colour. A walk in the glass garden.

Every time I design a new stained glass window, I think about how the light will surprise me. When light travels through coloured glass, some get trapped, some scatter, and some is filtered out. Microscopic metallic structures create the effects that will propel you to meditate, contemplate, or inspire yourself. The day changes how light paints a coloured window. A different angle, a cloud, the seasons, tiny variations during the day will change the amount of light coming from the sun.

The colours that you see are the leftovers of the light's journey, the remanent that escaped the materials, jumping on our eyes to create dreams of perceptions that combine past and present. Come to see and talk about glass, lead, gardens, dreams, light, and neuroscience. I will be designing and working on a commissioned glass piece called "A Walk in the Brain Garden." You will see me drawing, cutting, and preparing glass to be cooked in a kiln.
