Le Native Immigrant Art Collective et The Convergence Initiative ont le plaisir d'annoncer l'exposition Masks, Personal Protection Equipment qui accompagnera les aquarelles de Tati Tung dans l'exposition How to not wear a mask, sous le commissariat de Cristian Zaelzer.

 

Que vous soyez un artiste établi ou un artiste émergent, vous êtes invité à participer à cet appel ouvert. Un jury composé d'artistes et de scientifiques choisira 15 soumissions qui explorent le thème des masques médicaux.

 

Les œuvres sélectionnées seront exposées à l'Atelier d'Art Native Immigrant du 15 mars au 10 avril 2022.

OPPORTUNITÉS pour les artistes sélectionnés

 

Un artiste sera choisi pour une exposition individuelle en 2022.

 

Pendant la durée de l'exposition, tous les artistes seront pris en considération pour des discours d'artistes, des forums ou seront invités à animer des ateliers. Lors de votre soumission, veuillez nous faire savoir si vous êtes intéressé par l'une de ces opportunités.

 

Les artistes peuvent choisir de vendre leurs œuvres. Le prix des œuvres sera fixé par l'artiste. Veuillez noter qu'une commission de 40 % sera versée à l'Atelier d'art Native Immigrant.

 

Lors de la sélection :

Les artistes doivent fournir une photo de profil et du contenu filmé de leur processus artistique afin que nous puissions montrer sur notre écran situé dans la vitrine de la galerie.

DIRECTIVES DE SOUMISSION

 

Bien que toutes les formes d'art soient prises en considération, votre soumission doit contenir l'utilisation de masques pour le visage. Par exemple, les masques en tissu, les masques N95, les masques de procédure, tout masque utilisé comme EPI est le bienvenu comme toile pour tout support.

 

Des photos de haute qualité de votre travail (5 images maximum, 300 dpi minimum, fichier jpeg) doivent être envoyées par courriel à info@nativeimmigrant.com.

 

Tous les fichiers doivent être étiquetés : nom_prénom_numéro.filetype (ex.smith_mary_01.pdf)

 

Les artistes doivent payer un droit d'inscription de 20$ payable par virement électronique à info@nativeimmigrant.com, ou par chèque.

DATES & DÉLAIS

 

Date limite de soumission : 1er mars 2022, à 23h59. Les inscriptions tardives ne seront pas prises en compte.

 

Le jury annoncera les artistes sélectionnés le 5 mars 2022.

 

Dates de l'exposition : Du 15 mars au 10 avril 2022.

 

Les artistes seront contactés par courriel. Les décisions du commissariat sont définitives.

RESPONSABILITÉS DES PARTICIPANTS

 

Veuillez noter que les artistes seront responsables de la livraison de leurs œuvres d'art en toute sécurité et de l'assurance de ces œuvres pendant le transport.

 

Les artistes exposants donneront la permission à l'équipe du commissariat, ainsi qu'aux organisations partenaires et commanditaires, d'utiliser des photos de leurs œuvres pour la promotion de leur participation à cette exposition.

 

Les artistes conservent les droits d'auteur sur leurs œuvres d'art.

 

Toutes les œuvres doivent être livrées à la galerie avant le 10 mars à 17 heures et doivent être prêtes à être exposées.

The Native Immigrant Art Collective and The Convergence Initiative are pleased to announce Masks, Personal Protection Equipment, an exhibition that will accompany Tati Tung’s watercolours in How to not wear a mask, curated by Cristian Zaelzer.

 

Whether you are an established or emerging artist, you are welcome to participate in this open call. A jury composed of artists and scientists will choose 15 submissions that explore the theme of medical masks.

 

Selected works will be shown at Atelier d’Art Native Immigrant from March 15th to April 10th, 2022.

OPPORTUNITIES for selected artists

 

One artist will be chosen for a solo show in 2022

 

For the duration of the exhibition, all artists will be considered for artist’s talks, panels or invited to facilitate workshops. Upon your submission, please let us know if you are interested in any of these opportunities.

 

Artists may choose to sell their works. Artworks will be priced by the artist. Please note: a commission fee of 40% will be paid to Atelier d’art Native Immigrant.

 

Upon selection:

Artists must provide a headshot and filmed material of their artistic process to display on our monitor at the front window of the gallery.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

 

1. While all forms of art will be considered, your submission must contain the use of facial masks. For example, fabric masks, N95 masks, procedural masks, any mask used as PPE is welcome as the canvas for any medium.

 

1. High-quality photos of your work (max 5 images, min 300 dpi, jpeg file) must be submitted via email to info@nativeimmigrant.com

 

1. All files should be labelled: lastname_name_number.filetype (ex. smith_mary_01.pdf)

 

1. Artists must pay a 20$ submission fee payable via Etransfer to info@nativeimmigrant.com, or by cheque.

       

 

DATES & DEADLINES

 

Deadline for submission: March 1st, 2022, at 11:59 pm. Late entries will not be considered.

 

The jury will announce selected artists on March 5th, 2022.

 

Exhibition dates: March 15th to April 10th, 2022.

 

Artists will be contacted via email. Curatorial decisions are final.

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Please note that artists will be responsible for the safe delivery of their art pieces and insurance of these artworks during shipping.

 

Artists who are exhibiting will also give permission to the curatorial team, as well as the partnering and sponsoring organizations, to use photos of the artwork for the promotion of their involvement in this exhibition.

 

Artists retain copyright over their art pieces.

 

All artworks must be delivered to the gallery by March 10th at 5 PM and must be ready to display.
